  • Refurbishment in Hampstead Suburb Garden Area (NW11)

This small three bedroom cottage style house was a challenging project to meet client scope of works. The client requirement was to increase the floor area utilizing the roof space. This was due to planning restrictions within Hampstead Garden Suburb area. The existing floor area had to be utilized to provide the additional space.
-This must be the world’s smallest loft conversion.
-The head room restriction created an interesting space of the staircase to the loft area.
-The staircase had to be designed in 3D specifically to accommodate narrow staircase to comply with building control headroom regulation.
-The use of mirror and glass created illusion within circulation area.
-The narrow roof formed a unique gothic style with restricted height.
-The shower room was precisely designed to create an interesting yet usable space.
-Every corner of the house was used to accommodate storage area within this small cottage.
-Client requirement was to view the kitchen area from second floor utilizing glazed landing.
